Biography

Cayla Combs is a native of southeastern Kentucky and was raised in Beattyville, Kentucky, just minutes from the Red River Gorge. Cayla's father, Charlie, worked in the resident engineer's office in eastern Kentucky for 30 years before eventually retiring and spending his days playing golf. Her mother, Marilyn, is a retired schoolteacher who still dedicates her days to early childhood development.

Cayla received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Transylvania University in 2016. During her time at Transylvania, Cayla was a member of the women's golf team and of the Tri Delta sorority.  She was an active member of Tri Delta sorority and served as president during her membership. 

After graduating from Transylvania, Cayla attended the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. While in law school, Cayla was the Senior Articles Editor for the Journal of Animal and Environmental Law and was a published member for the Journal. During law school, she also served as a member of the Domestic Violence Clinic, which represented and advocated for women and families who fell victim to domestic violence.

Cayla gained experience in personal injury and family law while clerking in law school. During her free time, Cayla enjoys spending time with her family and pets and playing golf.
